Adopt one of the sanctuary residents and make a real difference!
Keeping these retired animals healthy, happy, and comfortable comes with significant ongoing costs. Feeding just two elephants alone requires around AUD 1,700 per month, and the sanctuary also provides care for a 120-kg pig.
Your sponsorship directly supports their daily meals, veterinary care, essential equipment, and ongoing facility improvements. Every contribution helps ease the financial burden on the sanctuary and ensures the animals have safe, comfortable spaces to live and thrive.
By adopting one of the animals, you become an active part of their care—helping to provide the dignity, comfort, and protection they deserve.

Boonchu "Chu"
Boonchu is magical. She was the first elephant we were able to retire permanently. In contrast to the other elephants we have helped, where their freedom was leased month to month, Boonchu will never return to work. Her documents indicate she's 41 years old, but at time of registration, this was just an estimate. We believe she's closer to 60 years old.
Boonchu has had a diverse working history in various industries in Thailand, including logging, farming, and tourism. Before joining us she had five different owners over the span of her life, one of whom was a famous Muay Thai fighter.
Unfortunately, Boonchu is missing some teeth, which will inevitably lead to digestive issues down the line, and she requires daily care for her eyes. Despite her challenges, she's a strikingly beautiful elephant with a big body and giant feet. You can symbolically adopt Chu, by signing up for a monthly contribution to help with her costs.

Mo Eh Po "Mooie"
In January 2025, with our donors help we were able to secure Moehpo's permanent freedom! Mo-eh-po is around 35 years old. She spent her whole life working in the brutal logging industry and has never worked in a tourist camp before. She’s a very petite little lady, about the size of a 10-year-old elephant, and looks like a baby next to Chu. Before she came to us, Moehpo was alone and desperate for elephant companionship.
Chu, who was already with us, usually prefers to be alone and is often frightened of other elephants. But she and Moehpo bonded instantly. It was heartwarming to see, as we had longed for Chu to have a companion she felt comfortable with. Chu has taken on a nurturing role, and little Moehpo doesn’t let her out of sight. Boon Lott "Boonie"
Boonie came to the sanctuary at just three days old after his mother, who belonged to a local farmer, passed away shortly after giving birth. Unable to care for such a tiny piglet, the farmer brought asked the team to take him. His survival was uncertain, but after weeks of around-the-clock care, he began to thrive.
Today, Boonie is a big & beloved permanent resident at the sanctuary in CHiang mai, and has fully embraced the good life! He enjoys going on walks with visitors, followed by a mud bath, but there’s nothing he loves more than watermelon and belly scratches. You can symbolically adopt Boonie, by signing up for a monthly contribution to help with his costs.
